Eagles Fall, 75-64, to Texas Tech in Hall of Fame Tipoff Tourney
November 18, 2017 | Men's Basketball
Bowman leads five Eagles in double figures with 15
How It Happened:
Boston College trailed by three with 1:39 left in regulation but was outscored 8-0 down the stretch by Texas Tech en route to a 75-64 loss at Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday.
The Eagles trailed by as many as 12 points in the first half before using an 18-5 run - capped by a Ky Bowman layup - to take a 31-30 lead. BC held the Red Raiders without a field goal for close to 4:00 during that stretch.
Texas Tech extended its lead to eight (55-47) with 8:38 to play and BC used a 16-10 push to get within two points, as Jerome Robinson converted 1-of-2 from the charity stripe to make it 65-63 with 3:26 to play. But that was as close as the Eagles would get the rest of the way, missing their last nine shots from the floor to go along with four turnovers.
Inside the Box Score
42 - The Eagles were outscored, 42-28, in the paint on the night.
