Quartet comes away with gold medal.
CHARLESTON, S.C. – Behind senior Scott Sinks, junior Wade Waddell, junior Tara Ferraris and junior Peter Lynn, the Boston College sailing team walked away with its second national championship trophy in as many weeks on Sunday.

The squad combined for the first-place finish in the ICSA Match Race National Championship, edging out hosts College of Charleston to take the top spot. The National Championship race was the second time the four sailors were paired together this season, the last being in October. The quartet earned NEISA Coed Sailors of the Week honors following their victory at the NEISA Match Race Championships in its last outing together.

The win in the Match Race National Championship comes just one week after Boston College freshman Sophia Reineke took gold in the ICSA Singlehanded National Championship.
The Eagles also raced a team at the Atlantic Coast Championships, hosted by Connecticut College in Kings Point, N.Y., over the weekend. The squad of Isabella Loosbrock, Emma Perry, Sophie Reineke, Lily McGrath and Lizzie Bohan posted a strong performance and separated itself from the rest of the field, and finished in second place, trailing only Yale.
