Burke Leads Eagles with 17th Place Finish at ACC Championships

Louisville, Ky. - The Boston College men's cross country team finished in 14^th place at the ACC Championships with 378 points. The men finished in front of Louisville in the 8K race.

Junior Sean Burke finished in 17^th place overall in a field of 126 runners with a time of 23:59.6. He earned All-ACC Honors for his top 21 place finish.

The Eagles finished with an average time of 25:28.90, averaging 30 seconds faster than they raced at the NCAA Pre-Nationals two weeks earlier.

BC Highlights:

Burke ran a time of 23:59.6 to finish in the top 20.
Junior Ian Ritchie earned 96^th place at 25:34.2.
Junior Benjamin Osipow crossed the line in 102^nd place with a time of 25:39.5.
Sophomore Sean Sullivan and senior Brian McDavitt rounded out the top five scorers for the Eagles finished in 108^th and 114^th places, respectively. Sullivan finished the 8K course in 25:51.8 and McDavitt finished in 26:19.4.
Freshman Kyle Faddis finished the race in 26:30.9.

Race Highlights:

Syracuse won the meet with 27 points.
Senior Justyn Knight of Syracuse was the top individual finisher with a time of 23:13.0, marking the second straight year he has won the ACC Championships.
