BC competes at "Tom" Sawyer State Park in Louisville

Louisville, KY. – The Boston College women's cross country team finished in 36th place overall with 923 points at the NCAA Pre-Nationals meet on Saturday. The Eagles competed against 43 competitive teams at "Tom" Sawyer State Park.

Senior Ashbrook Gwinn continues to be a top finisher for BC as she crossed the line first for the Eagles in 134^th place with a 6K time of 21:30.0.

BC Highlights

Gwinn led the Eagles with a time of 21:30.0 in the 6K.
Senior Laura Leff finished in 146^th place overall with a time of 21:38.9.
Junior Delia Hayes raced in her first meet of the season and she finished in 215^th place, crossing the line at 22:19.5
Hayes was followed close behind by senior Clarissa Modde, who ran a time of 22:20.1. to earn 217^th place overall.
Freshman Lauren White rounded out the top five scorers for the Eagles. She finished in 22:25.3.
Junior Sarah Marvin and freshman Kylee Raftis also raced for BC and earned 256^th place and 260^th place, respectively. Marvin ran a time of 23:01. 9 and Raftis finished in 23:06.9.

Race Highlights

Oregon won the meet with a team score of 63 points.
Elinor Purrier of New Hampshire was the individual winner, crossing the line in 19:28.5.

The Eagles will travel to New Britain, Conn. to compete at the Central Connecticut mini-meet on Friday, Oct. 20 at 4:00 p.m.
