
Eagles Top Yale In Road Win

Urbinati, Borr win their singles and doubles matches
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Boston College women's tennis team improved to 1-1 with Thursday's nonconference road victory at Yale.
The Eagles won four singles matches and two doubles matches against the Bulldogs (0-2). Senior Lexi Borr and freshman Dasha Possokhova both moved to 2-0 in singles play this season.
Borr defeated Yale's Tina Jiang 7-5 in the first set before the match ended via retirement in second singles. Possokhova defeated Yale's Elizabeth Zordani in a 6-2, 6-3 straight-set victory in fourth singles.
Sophomore Jackie Urbinati won her season singles debut with a 6-2, 6-3 victory in sixth singles. Freshman Kylie Wilcox also earned the first singles victory of her dual-season career with a 6-1, 7-5 win in fourth singles.
BC earned the doubles point after three hard-fought matches. Borr and Safron earned a 6-3 victory in second doubles. Urbinati and junior Asiya Dair won third doubles, 6-4.
The Eagles continue action on 2 p.m. Saturday at Dartmouth.
