- The Eagles are 35-3-3 in the series since 1999-2000 when both teams were Division 1 varsity squads (UVM's second year of varsity status)
- At home, BC is 19-3-1 against UVM ... in Burlington, the Eagles are 15-0-2 against the Catamounts ... the teams have met once on neutral ice, with BC winning the lone match
- BC has won the last 11 meetings between the teams, and is 17-0-3 in the last 20 contests dating back to Nov. 2009

- Kristyn Capizzano has 5 points in 10 games, including an assist last February's trip
- Haley McLean (2-3-5 in 10 games) also has five points, all of which came in her freshman season - including a three-point effort in a 5-2 win at Kelley Rink on Jan. 17, 2014

- Katie Burt is moving up a host of goaltender career wins charts as she enters the weekend with 79 career wins
- She is now just one win back of Molly Schaus' BC career record of 80
- Burt also enters the weekend in 12th place on the NCAA career wins chart ... her 80th win will tie Molly Schaus '11 for 11th on the NCAA chart
- She is also six wins back of the Hockey East career wins record (52), held by UNH's Melissa Bourdon '07 ... she comes into the weekend with 46 league wins, tied for third place on the league's win chart
BURT MAKING HOCKEY EAST HISTORY ALREADY
- Katie Burt's 12-save shutout of Merrimack last Friday was the 27th shutout of her career overall, and her 19th shutout in Hockey East play
- She now holds the Hockey East career shutout record (in league games), passing Melissa Bourdon who had 18 at UNH (2003-07)
- Overall, Burt's 27 career shutouts rank eighth in NCAA history ... she is just two back of seventh place (Erica Howe/Clarkson '14) at 29 and three back of a fifth-place tie with Bourdon and Alex Rigsby/Wisconsin '14 (30)
KELLER SET TO TOPPLE LEAGUE RECORDS ... AS A JUNIOR
- Megan Keller is on the verge of establishing herself as Hockey East's preeminent defensive scorer, just two-and-a-half years into her collegiate career
- Keller is one point away from matching the 59 career points Emily Pfalzer '15 recorded as Hockey East's career scoring leader among defensemen ... Keller enters the weekend with 58 career HEA-only points
- Keller also enters the weekend tied with Pfalzer for the league's career assist record among defenseman, coming into the UVM series with 48 ... her next league assist will give her the record for her own
- Keller has played 55 career Hockey East games, while Pfalzer played 82 league games in her four-year career
ROAD WARRIORS
- Boston College is in the midst of a three-game road swing that started last Saturday at Merrimack
- Overall, BC will play five of seven games in this stretch away from home, including a pair of Beanpot games at Northeastern (Jan. 31, Feb. 7)
- So far this season, BC has more road wins (8) than home wins despite being undefeated at Kelley Rink (7-0-2)
- The Eagles have played 13 away games this season to just nine home games and one neutral-site contest
KENNEDY BACK BEHIND THE BENCH THIS WEEKEND
- Associate head coach Courtney Kennedy is back behind the Eagles' bench this weekend after missing the last five games
- She was with the U.S. U18 team at the IIHF Under-18 World Championship in the Czech Republic where she served as an assistant coach
- The U.S. squad won the gold medal, defeating Canada 3-1 in the final last Saturday ... it was the United States' third-straight gold medal
- Former BC All-America goaltender Molly Schaus '11 was the U18's goaltender coach and incoming recruit Cayla Barnes '21 was the team captain, tied for the tournament's scoring lead and won the Directorate Award for the second time as the event's Best Defenseman
NEWKIRK NOW ON THE CLOCK FOR 75
- Sophomore Makenna Newkirk should be the next Eagle to hit the 75-point mark
- She comes into Friday's game with 74 career points in 64 career games ... she has notched 27 career goals and added 47 career assists
- When she reaches the 75-point mark, she will be the 28th player in program history to accumulate 75 points
UNBEATEN RUN AMONG NATION'S CURRENT LONGEST ... AND PROGRAM'S LONGEST
- Boston College enters the weekend game on an 11-game unbeaten run, going 9-0-2 in its last 11 games
- The Eagles hold the nation's second-longest active unbeaten streak, behind Clarkson's 18-game run (15-0-3)
- This current 11-game run is tied for the fourth-longest unbeaten run in program history ... BC has prior unbeaten runs of 40 (2015-16), 28 (2014-15), 18 (2012-13) and 11 (2013-14) games.
- BC has now posted unbeaten runs of at least 10 games in each of the last five seasons
HOCKEY EAST TOURNAMENT BERTH ALREADY CLINCHED
- Following last Friday's win against Merrimack, the Eagles clinched a berth in the Hockey East Tournament
- BC is the first team to earn a spot in the league's eight-team postseason event, and is its defending champion
- This is BC's seventh-straight HEA Tourny berth, and the team's ninth overall in 15 seasons of Hockey East play
HOT STREAK CONTINUES INTO 2017
- Boston College has gone 13-1-2 in its last 16 games dating back to Oct. 22 on top of its 11-game unbeaten run (9-0-2)
- The Eagles' lone loss in this recent stretch came at Boston University on Nov. 5 when the Terriers stormed back to claim a 5-3 win after entering the third period down 2-0
- During this run, the Eagles have played nine road games, going 7-1-1 in those games, plus its 5-0-1 mark at Kelley Rink and a 1-0-0 mark in a neutral game at Fenway Park
EAGLES STILL PACING HOCKEY EAST
- Despite notching two league losses and two ties - the team's most non-wins since BC went 17-2-2 in league play in 2012-13 - Boston College still paces the league in practically every statistic, including the standings
- The Eagles have a league-best 12-2-2 record and a conference-topping 26 points ... BC leads second-place Northeastern (9-7-2) by six points with two games in hand, and two third-place teams (Vermont, BU) by nine points
- In Hockey East games, BC is the conference's top scoring team (3.75 goals per game), has scored the most goals (60), is top defensive team (1.44 goals allowed per game), has the top power play (22.9 percent), best penalty kill (93.8 percent) and best net special teams (+17)
- BC is also the only team in Hockey East ranked in every edition of both the USCHO and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine polls this season
SPECIAL TEAMS DOING SPECIAL THINGS
- Boston College's special teams have been hot this season ... Eagles are second in the nation in combined special teams, proving successful in 119-for-205 opportunities this season (58.0 percent)
- On the power play, BC ranks second nationally with a 26.4 percent conversion (28-for-106) ... the team's 28 power-play goals are most in the nation
- On the penalty kill, the Eagles rank third nationally with a 91.9 percent success rate (91-for-99) while scoring five shorthanded goals - third-most nationally
- So far this season, 33 of the Eagles' 82 goals have come via special teams (28 PPGs, 5 SHGs)
- BC has tallied at least one special-teams goal (PPG and/or SHG) in 21 of 23 games this year
THE EAGLES' NEXT CENTURIANS
- Three different Eagles are making a push for 100 career points this season after passing 75 points last season
- Kenzie Kent has 96 career points, while Kristyn Capizzano has 94 and Megan Keller 90
- When they make it to 100 points, they will be the 14th, 15th and 16th players to reach the 100-point plateau ... Keller will be just the second BC defenseman to reach that mark
