Eagles and Jayhawks meet for the first time on the gridiron
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College continues to add games to its future football schedules as the Eagles have agreed to a home-and-home series with Kansas. The games against the Big 12 Jayhawks will be the first time the two schools have met on the gridiron.
"We continue to look for games against Power Five non-conference opponents and are happy to announce this series with Kansas," Boston College William V. Campbell Director of Athletics Brad Bates said.
Boston College announced yesterday a future four-game series with Rutgers of the Big Ten.
Boston College and Kansas meet for the first time on Sept. 14, 2019 at Alumni Stadium before making the return visit to Lawrence on Sept. 19, 2020.
All-time, the Eagles are 22-28-1 against current Big 12 members. The majority of those games, 33, were against West Virginia when the two schools met both in non-conference matchups and as members of the Big East.
Boston College finished the 2016 season 7-6 overall and won its final three games of the season. The Eagles ended the year with a 36-30 victory over Maryland in the Quick Lane Bowl.
