GOALTENDERS
Lettermen Returning/Lost: 1/3
Newcomers: 2
York on Boston College's Goaltenders:
"Ian (Milsoz) has played a couple games for us, being the only returner from last season, but we have a couple excellent freshmen goaltenders coming in with Ryan (Edquist) and Joe (Woll). Right now we have three goaltenders that we are observing and evaluating and it will be a situation where I think will turn into a strength of our team," said York. "We lost Thatcher (Demko), one of the most outstanding goaltenders in college hockey, but we really feel like with the two incoming freshman and Ian returning this will be a real strength of our team."
Sophomore Ian Milosz will be the lone returning goaltender for the Eagles, after joining BC midway through the 2015-16 ledger. The North Grafton, Mass. native started two games in net with a 1-0-1 record, recording 62 saves with a 3.37 goals against average.
Incoming freshman Ryan Edquist arrives at The Heights with a great deal of experience in the junior ranks, having started 27 games for the Madison Capitals of the USHL last year. The Lakeville, Minn., native logged a save percentage of .906 and a goals against average (2.02), while being named to the USHL All-Rookie First Team and the CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game.
Newcomer Joe Woll comes to The Heights after spending the last two seasons with the USA National Development program. The 2016 third round draft pick (62nd overall) of the Toronto Maple Leafs sported a 2.14 goals against average in 2015-16 over 33 appearances with a .918 save percentage.
