SERIES HISTORY
- This will be the first time Boston College will face Wagner.
- The Eagles hold a record of 24-1 against FCS opponents
- Wagner is 0-5 against FBS teams
- Wagner finished last season 1-10, but this season have started 2-0 scoring 38 points in both contests.
- The Seahawks offense is under the control of junior QB Alex Thompson. In two games, Thompson has gone 35-for-58 for 415 yards and four touchdowns and an additional rushing touchdown
- In the backfield, junior RB Denzel Knight leads the Seahawks rushing. In two games, Knight has recorded 251 yards on the ground on only 28 attempts and has found the end zone twice
- The Seahawks will also look to spread the ball across the field as seven receivers on the roster have recorded at least three receptions
- Through three games, the Eagles defense ranks first in the ACC and third in the nation in total defense (180 yards per game)
- Sophomore WR Jeff Smith and Junior WR Charlie Callinan sit at the top of the receiver chart as both receivers have collected eight receptions and over 100 yards.
- Graduate QB Patrick Towles will once again be under center for the Eagles, the Kentucky native has thrown for 415 yards on 32-of-67 completions and has a pair of touchdowns to Smith.
- On the ground, Towles and redshirt sophomore RB Jon Hilliman have both rushed for over 100 yards and have combined for three touchdowns.
- On defense, the linebacker core of senior Matt Milano and juniors Ty Schwab and Connor Strachan continue to tear apart offenses as the trio has recorded 63 tackles, including 12 tackles for a loss and 4.5 sacks.
