Eagles Ranked As High As No. 6 In The Country

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College men's soccer team is ranked as high as No. 6 in the country this week after opening the season with a pair of victories last weekend.

College Soccer News has the Eagles ranked the highest at the No. 6 slot. They moved up two spots from their preseason ranking.

The NSCAA and TopDrawerSoccer.com have BC ranked No. 11 and No. 10, respectively. The Eagles didn't move up in the NSCAA ranking but improved five spots in the TopDrawerSoccer.com list.

Boston College opened the season with a 2-0 victory at Quinnipiac last Friday and then took down Boston University on Sunday, 3-2, in its home opener.

The Eagles host a pair of matches this weekend in Newton, beginning Friday with Hofstra (4 p.m.) and then Sunday with Villanova (5 p.m.).
