CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Senior Maximilian Schulze-Geisthovel has been named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week after scoring a goal in both of Boston College's wins over the season-opening weekend.
The Drensteinfurt, Germany product scored in the 39th minute against Quinnipiac in the season opener and was credited with the game-winning goal in the 2-0 win. He then scored BC's second goal in the 41st minute against BU to give the Eagles a 2-1 lead in an eventual 3-2 victory.
Schulze-Geisthovel led Boston College with eight shots and five shots on goal in the two matches.
The Eagles return to action with a pair of matches this weekend. They host Hofstra on Friday at 4 p.m. and then welcome Villanova on Sunday at 5 p.m.
