Eagles Picked Fourth In Atlantic Division

BC opens season August 26
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College men's soccer team has been picked to finish fourth in the Atlantic Coast Conference Atlantic Division, according to a vote of the league's 12 head coaches.
No. 3 Clemson is the favorite to win the division, followed by No. 5 Wake Forest. Both teams split all 12 first-place votes. No. 6 Syracuse ranks ahead of the No. 11 Eagles. Louisville and NC State round out the fifth and sixth spots, respectively.
No. 8 North Carolina is the favorite to win the entire conference along with the Coastal Division. No. 9 Notre Dame, No. 17 Virginia, Duke, Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech follow the Tar Heels.
UNC earned five of the 12 votes to be ACC champions. Clemson grabbed three votes while Notre Dame had two. Virginia and Wake Forest both earned one vote.
Boston College advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship for the second time in program history last season. The Eagles were ranked as high as No. 8 in the numerous national polls to end the year.
The Eagles open the 2016 season on August 26 at Quinnipiac. Their home opener is on August 28 at 5 p.m. in Newton against local rival Boston University.
