Boston College men's and women's soccer programs have placed two players on the 2016 MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List. The MAC Hermann Trophy is the most prestigious individual award in college soccer presented every year to one male and female student-athlete. The winners of the award will be announced on Friday, Jan. 6.
Zeiko Lewis, a senior midfielder, on the men's team and McKenzie Meehan, a graduate student on the women's team, will represent BC on the 2016 Hermann Trophy Watch List.
Lewis has been named to the All-ACC Second team all three seasons at BC and was a NSCAA All-South Region First Team selection a year ago. He was the 2013 ACC Freshman of the Year. The Pembroke, Bermuda product has 11 goals and 22 assists in 51 career matches. He currently ranks second all-time at Boston College in assists and 14th in points.
This is the second time Meehan has been named to the Hermann Trophy Watch List. She earned the honor going into the 2015 season.
A native of Glocester, Rhode Island, Meehan led Boston College in scoring with 17 goals, four assists for 38 points last season. She earned a spot on the 2015 All-ACC first-team and was named to the All-ACC Academic team. She was also a NSCAA Southeast first team All-America and a NSCAA All-America third team honoree. Meehan, an Academic All-America Division 1 soccer team recipient, is the program's all-time leading goal scorer with 46 goals and is one goal away from tying the program record for game-winning-goals (15).
