Eagles and Terriers will come together for outstanding causes
Need a hockey fix this summer? Want to watch a game and support phenomenal causes? We've got you covered.
On Friday night, alumni from two of the nation's powerhouse college hockey programs – Boston College and Boston University – will come together for the 2nd Annual Comm Ave. Charity Classic. Faceoff is set for 7 p.m. at BU's Walter Brown Arena.
NHL and AHL alumni from both programs will face off to raise money and awareness for Compassionate Care ALS and the Travis Roy Foundations – organizations with close ties to both programs – in memory of Dick Kelly, Coach Jim Cotter, Ron Perryman and Richard Armstrong and in honor of Pete Frates and Travis Roy.
In 2015, the Comm Ave Charity Classic raised over $55,000 for Compassionate Care ALS and had 3,500 spectators. The 2015 game featured 27 current or former NHL players, 3 Hobey Baker Award winners, countless All-Americans, 2 Stanley Cup winners and 2 NHL Hall of Famers.
Tickets are still available through Ticketmaster for $15 each. | BUY TICKETS
