Amy Weatherby Named Associate Head Coach
June 24, 2016 | Rowing
Boston College women's rowing assistant coach Amy Weatherby has been named the program's associate head coach as announced by head coach Steve Fiske this morning.
"I feel very fortunate to have Amy's experience, knowledge and investment into the success of program and student-athletes here at BC," said Fiske. "She has been and outstanding leader and coach at Boston College for the past seven years. Most notably, her leadership in our recruiting efforts has been exceptional and this year's incoming class of 24 experienced rowers is our deepest and could be our strongest group yet."
Since arriving at The Heights, Weatherby has helped BC to numerous wins and medals, including five consecutive victories at the Green Monster Regatta (2011-2015), a win in the Freshmen 8 at the 2015 Foot of the Charles, Irving-Christianson Cup and the MIT Cup victories and medals in the Head of the Charles, Knecht Cup, Eastern Sprints. She has also been integral part of the program as the Eagles posted their best finishes in the ACC Championships in the Varsity 4 and 2nd Varsity 4. She also  works closely with the freshmen squad during the fall semester, leading the team through all fall races and transitioning to the primary coach for the Varsity 4 and 2nd Varsity in the spring season.Â
