Four Named To All-ACC Academic Team

Two grad students, two sophomores recognized
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Graduate students Liv Westphal and Danielle Winslow, and sophomores Isabelle Kennedy and Laura Leff were each named to the 2016 Women's Outdoor Track & Field All-ACC Academic Team.
Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.
Westphal is a five-time All-American and earned All-ACC honors seven different times. She was named an Eagle of the Year which is considered the highest honor bestowed upon a Boston College student-athlete. Westphal holds school records in four different events, more than any other competitor in program history.
Winslow excelled in the 3000m steeplechase this season and competed in the event at the NCAA Championships. She finished eighth in the event at the NCAA East Preliminary Round. Winslow's best time this season was a 9:48.81, which is the school record. She was the ACC champion in the event, leading start to finish to set a new facility record.
Kennedy earned All-ACC Second Team honors after finishing fourth in the 10,000m event at 34:49.02. It was the first time she ever ran the event. She won the 5000m event at the Larry Ellis Invitational with a personal record of 16:20.07 and competed in the NCAA East regional, finishing 15th with a time of 16:25.25
Leff also earned All-ACC Second Team honors after finishing sixth in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 10:30.24. She competed in the event at the NCAA East Regional and finished at 10:33.37. Leff also won the 3000m run at the Skyhawk Invitational by crossing the line in 9:59.49.
