Heckmann, Brose Baskets Win German Title

Team wins second-straight Bundesliga crown
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Former Boston College men's basketball player Patrick Heckmann and his team, Brose Baskets Bamberg, won its second consecutive Beko Bundesliga title on June 12.
The title was the eighth for Bamberg overall and sixth in the last seven years. With the win, Heckmann's squad returns to the Turkish Airlines Euroleague after advancing to the Top 16 last season.
Bamberg went 31-3 during the regular season and then swept each of its three playoff series.
Heckmann has appeared in 42 games for Bamberg this season, averaging 7.1 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists.
