Danielle Winslow Wins Steeplechase At The ACC Championships

BC Highlights

Graduate student Danielle Winslow won the 3000m steeplechase in 9:57.33. Winslow's best time this season was a 9:48.81, which is also the new school record. At the ACC's, Winslow led start to finish and set a new facility record. She earned All-ACC honors for her performance.
Teammate Laura Leff, a sophomore, placed sixth in the 3000m steeplechase with a final time of 10:30.24. She earned second team All-ACC honors.
Another highlight for the Eagles was the third place finish by Eagle of the Year Liv Westphal in the Women's 10000m. She earned All-ACC honors as she finished in 34:43.58.
Sophomore Isabelle Kennedy placed fourth in the 10000m. She finished in 34:49.02, even though it was her first time running the event. She earned All-ACC second-team honors.
The 4x400 medley relay team of senior Carly Daniel (54.6), rookie Johanna Celli (56.6), junior Robin Gross (55.16) and sophomore Molly McCabe (54.59) placed eighth with a time of 3:41.31. It is a new school record by more than a second. It marked the first time the 4x400 scored in the ACC Championships.
Junior Claudia DiSomma ran her best time in the preliminary of the 800 meters. She placed eighth overall and it marked the first time she scored in the ACC Championships.
Senior captain Carly Daniel ran her second best in the 400 meters (55.46). She also ran her best in the 4x400 relay (54.6).
Winslow, Leff, Westphal and Kennedy all qualified for the NCAA Championships East Regional in Jacksonville, Fla., at North Florida on May 26-28.
