Eagles Qualify for National Championships

Reed Trophy Conference Championship Regatta

The Boston College women's sailing team advanced to the 2016 Women's National Championship Semi-Finals in San Diego by placing second at the Reed Trophy Conference Championship Regatta hosted by Yale this past weekend. US Coast Guard won the event with 162 points, while BC had 189 points. Rhode Island placed third with 203 points.

In the A Division Boston College placed second with 84 points behind sailors Allyson Donahue and Katherine Downey. Coast Guard placed first with 79 points.

Isabella Loosbrock, Lily McGrath and Fiona Walsh placed fifth in the B Division with 105 points. Coast Guard won the division with 83 points.

Admiral's Cup

Cup Results

Boston College placed third at the Admiral's Cup hosted by Kings Point this past weekend. The Eagles posted 211 points, while St. Mary's won the event with 173 points. Georgetown was second with 210 points. Navy and Dartmouth rounded out the top five.

Raul Rios and Allison Ferraris placed second in the A Division with 53 points. The duo had four first place finishes and picked up a second and third place in the 11 races.

The B Division team of Charles Sinks and Alice Bohan placed fourth with 75 points. The tandem placed second in the third race, third in the seventh race and picked up two fourths place finishes on the day.

Drake Lyon placed eighth in the C Division with 83 points. He earned a first, two seconds and a fifth place finish in the 11 races.

81^st Boston Dinghy Challenge Cup

Results

Boston College placed fifth at the Boston Dinghy Challenge Cup race this past weekend that was hosted by MIT. The Eagles earned 181 points while Harvard won the event with 152 points. Dartmouth was second with 168 points, Brown placed third with 169 points and MIT was fourth with 170 points.

Harry Koeppel and Hannah Lynn won the A Division with 36 points, while Henry Dumke and Megan Bamford placed ninth the B Division with 77 points.

Wade Waddell and Emma Perry placed seventh in the C Division with 68 points.
