Eagles' junior claims lone point for the visitors
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Aidan McNulty won a third-set tie-break at No. 1 singles as the Boston College men's tennis team fell 6-1 on Friday afternoon.
The Eagles' junior won his first set 6-3, but dropped the second stanza by the same score. In the third-set tie-break, he defeated the Cardinals' Alex Gornet 10-8 to claim his first conference win at the No. 1 spot this season.
Louisville opened the match by taking the doubles point with wins on the Nos. 2 and 3 courts. In singles, the Cardinals earned wins on Courts 2 through 6 as they secured their first ACC win of the year.
Boston College (6-16, 0-11 ACC) wraps up the regular season on Sunday, April 17, when they host No. 22 Florida State at the Flynn Recreation Complex at 10:30 a.m.
