BC HIGHLIGHTS
- Junior Tatiana Cortez was 2-of-3 at the plate with one home run, three RBI's and two runs scored. She has now reached base safely in six straight games.
- Sophomore Jordan Chimento and Jessie Daulton both extended their hit streaks to six games. Chimento was 2-of-4 with two RBI's while Daulton finished 1-of-3 with a run scored.
- Sophomore Jessica Dreswick pitched four innings, allowing three hits, no earned runs and struck out three. She has now conceded two or fewer runs in three straight appearances and three or less in 18 of her last 19 outings.
TURNING POINT
- Boston College broke the game open in the second inning with five runs.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Eagles pounced on an error in the bottom of the second inning. Senior Megan Cooley got things started, lacing a single to center field that plated sophomore Chloe Sharabba. Cortez followed up with a single up the middle that scored freshman Allyson Moore. Later Chimento knocked a bases-clearing single that scored three to cap the inning's scoring.
- The Terriers would get one back off a Moriah Connolly single that scored Rachel Levine.
- Boston College added two more in the bottom of the fourth as Cortez blasted a ball over the left field fence with one runner on.
- Boston University got another run in the top of the sixth as Moriah Connolly scored with some heads-up running after an error.
