Mukai wins both of his matches on the day against the Tigers
CLEMSON, S.C. – The Boston College men's tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision at Clemson (12-11, 3-5 ACC).
After taking the doubles point with wins on the No. 2 and 3 courts behind the duos of Aidan McNulty and Alexandre Thirouin, and Jeffrey Melvin and Kent Mukai, the Eagles went down to the last singles match before dropping the match.
Hank Workman and Mukai both won their singles matches at the No. 2 and 6 spots, respectively. Workman dispatched Daffra Sanon 7-6 (7-3), 6-1, while Mukai used three sets to top Christian Harris.
Clemson took wins on the Nos. 1, 3 and 4 courts before Kyle Childree fell in three sets to Arturo Pinazo.
Boston College (3-13, 0-8 ACC) returns to the court on Sunday, April 3, when they face No. 31 Georgia Tech in Atlanta.
