Set career highs in four categories this season

Frank Power spent 32 years as a scout, recruiter and assistant to six different Boston College head coaches. He also served as head coach for the 1962-63 season while Bob Cousy played his final NBA season. In addition to this award, the Eagles practice in Power Gym, another tribute to a man whose dedication to his alma mater will always be remembered.
Clifford is in the midst of the best stretch of his career as he closes out his time at The Heights. He is averaging 13.4 points and 8.5 rebounds in the last eight games while shooting 53 percent from the field. This season, he leads the team in rebounding (7.1), field goal percentage (.491) and blocks (34), and is third in scoring. He ranks 11th in the ACC in rebounding.
Clifford (pictured to the right with Frank Powers' daughter, Leslie) has come to form after battling knee issues from 2012-14. The Bridgewater, Mass., product tried to manage the pain as a sophomore, appearing in 30 games, making 14 starts, but only averaging 14.6 minutes per game. As a junior, he played in only two games and received a medical redshirt in 2013-14.
This season, Clifford is averaging a career-high 27.5 minutes per game and has eclipsed the 30-minute mark seven times in the last eight games. His 7.1 points, 9.6 rebounds and 39 assists this year are also career bests.
Clifford, teammates Eli Carter and Steve Perpiglia, and the rest of the Eagles host Clemson today at 12 p.m. in the regular season finale. All three will be honored prior to tipoff.Â
