BC HIGHLIGHTS

Junior Tatiana Cortez went 2-of-3 at the plate with one home run, one RBI and a run scored. The home run was her team-leading ninth of the season.
Sophomore Allyson Frei pitched four innings of relief, conceding three hits, two earned runs and one walk. She also struck out nine.
The Eagles are now 2-1 in extra inning games this season.

TURNING POINT

Boston College scored one in the top of the eighth.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Eagles opened up the scoring in the top of the second, as junior Madison Paulson plated off a single by sophomore Chloe Sharabba. Sharabba would later come around to score following a single from freshman Allyson Moore.
Boston College extended its lead to 3-0 in the very next inning, as a single from senior Jessie Daulton drove in freshman Loren DiEmmanuele.
Boston University would answer back in the bottom of the fourth, scoring two after loading the bases. Singles from Brittany Younan and Emma Wong brought home the runs.
The Eagles would get one back in the top of the fifth, as Cortez sent a ball over the right field fence.
The Terriers answered with a home run of their own in the bottom half of the inning, as a two-run shot from Gabi Martinez evened things up at 4-4.
Sharabba capitalized in the top of the eighth for Boston College, bringing home sophomore Jordan Chimento from third for the winning run.
