CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Junior midfielder Zeiko Lewis is currently playing for the Bermuda National Team which is competing in the Caribbean Cup, a qualification tournament for the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
Lewis earned the start as Bermuda lost to Cuba on Tuesday, 2-1, at the Estadio Pedro Marrero Stadium in Havana. Cuba scored in the 28th and 77th minutes before Bermuda got a goal back in stoppage time.
Bermuda, making its first appearance in the tournament since 2012, will play French Guiana on Saturday in its final group match at Bermuda National Stadium.
Lewis has played for his national team before, as he started all four matches for Bermuda during the World Cup qualifying stage last summer.
The Pembroke, Bermuda product has been named to the All-ACC Second team all three seasons at BC. Lewis, the 2013 ACC Freshman of the Year, has 11 goals and 22 assists in 51 career matches. He currently ranks second all-time at Boston College in assists and 14th in points.
