Mannelly, Wood Named Eagles of the Week

Pair honored for performances last week

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Senior midfielder Sarah Mannelly (lacrosse) and freshman forward Miles Wood (men's hockey) have been named Eagles of the Week.

Mannelly was named the Epoch/Lacrosse Magazine Player of the Week after recording four goals and two assists in BC's 13-8 win against No. 3 Syracuse on Saturday afternoon. Her six points matched a season high. Mannelly also tallied three draw controls, a ground ball and a caused turnover.

Wood recorded a pair of goals in the Eagles' 5-4 loss to No. 14 Northeastern on Friday in the Hockey East semifinals. It was the first multi-goal game of his collegiate career. Woods' goal 15 seconds into the first period was the fastest goal by an Eagle this season.

No. 12 lacrosse (6-3, 1-2 ACC) will host No. 3 North Carolina on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Newton. No. 6 men's hockey (26-7-5) will face No. 10 Harvard in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday at 8 p.m. in Worcester.
