Successful Weekend On The Water For The Eagles

The Boston College sailing team competed in three regatta's this past weekend. The Eagles placed first at The Ike Geiger Team Race Regatta, second at the St. Mary's Women's Interconference Regattta hosted by St. Mary's of Maryland and fourth place at the Southern New England Team Race hosted by Connecticut College.

Event Information

The BC team went undefeated in the final round robin on Sunday to earn the Ike Geiger Trophy. The skippers for the Eagles were Henry Dumke, Wade Waddell and Peter Lynn while the crews were compiled of Megan Bamford, Emma Perry and Kaitlin Driscoll.

Results

At the St. Mary's Women's Interconference Regatta, the Eagles placed second behind Allyson Donahue, Katherine Downey, Isabella Loosbrock and Lilly McGrath.
Loosebrock and McGrath placed first in the B Division with 110 points beating out URI by seven points. URI earned won the A Division 102 points. Donahue and Downey placed second with 117 points in the division. URI won the event with 219 total points while BC had 227. St. Mary's was third at 279 and Stanford placed tied for fourth with Yale with 300 points.

Results

Connecticut College hosted the Southern New England Team Race and BC placed fourth behind Brown, Harvard and St. Mary's. BC went 5-3, while Brown won the event by going 7-2.

Raul Rios, Charles Sinks, Harry Koeppel were the skippers for the event while the crew consisted of Allison Ferraris, Alice Bohan and Hannah Lynn.
