Pair honored for performances last week
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Senior infielder Joe Cronin (baseball) and graduate student Liv Westphal (track & field) have been named Eagles of the Week.
Cronin was named ACC Player of the Week after leading the Eagles with a .526 average (10-for-19), three doubles, two home runs, 11 RBIs, a 1.211 slugging percentage and a .609 on-base percentage as BC earned three wins, including two over No. 8 NC State in Raleigh to improve to 12-3 on the season. He had seven extra-base hits in the five games. In the series victory at NC State, Cronin was 5-for-11 with five RBIs and three extra-base hits.Â
Westphal earned All-America status after finishing 10th in the 5000m at this year's NCAA Indoor Track Championships. Westphal entered the race as the seventh overall qualifier and crossed the line at 16:11.92. Westphal's position earned her Second-Team All-American status - the second year in a row she has earned that title.

Baseball (12-3, 2-1 ACC) travels to Clemson this weekend for a three-game conference series.
