Pair honored for performances last week
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Senior Olivia Adragna (fencing) and junior catcher Nick Sciortino (baseball) have been named Eagles of the Week.
Adragna was named the ACC Most Valuable Fencer at the conference championships last weekend. She grabbed All-ACC honors after earning the silver medal in the individual epee. She finished the round robin with a 12-3 record, defeated Notre Dame's Madeline Antekeier in the semifinals and then lost in the final to the Irish's Catherine Lee. Adragna is one of only two female fencers to medal at the first two ACC Championships.
Sciortino went 6-for-8 in the two games he played in the Eagles' 3-0 weekend at the Snowbird Classic. He scored a career-high three runs, including the game-winner, in the 12-inning victory over Villanova on Sunday. He led the Eagles with a .750 batting average and an .800 on-base percentage, and stole all three bases he attempted.

Fencing will compete in the NCAA Northeast Regional Championship on March 13. Baseball (7-0) has three games this week down in Florida as part of the Snowbird Classic.
