Hokies Sweep Eagles in ACC Clash

Borr and Urbinati combine in doubles for lone victory in Blacksburg
BLACKSBURG, Va. – The No. 41 Virginia Tech women's tennis team swept Boston College – ranked No. 71 – on Sunday afternoon at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center.
The doubles duo of Lexi Borr and Jackie Urbinati took the Eagles' lone win on the day, defeating the Hokies' No. 1 doubles team of Francesca Fusinato and Kelly Williford, 6-2.
Virginia Tech (9-3, 2-1 ACC) won all six singles matches in straight sets after claiming the doubles point with wins at the No. 2 and 3 courts.
Boston College (5-6, 0-4 ACC) returns home next weekend for a pair of matches, first hosting No. 34 Clemson on Friday, March 4, at the Flynn Recreation Complex before welcoming No. 36 Georgia Tech in on Sunday at 11 a.m.
