TURNING POINT
With the game knotted at one entering the third, Lowell tallied a pair of goals in the first 6:47 to pull away with the victory. Tyler Mueller registered a shorthanded goal 21 seconds into the frame and John Edwardh added one 6:26 later for only two goals of the period
HOW IT HAPPENED
Lowell jumped out to an early lead at the 9:17 mark of the first period when A.J. White tapped in his 10th goal of the season. After a Riverhawk attempt was stopped stick side, Michael Louria slipped it across the crease to find White, who snuck it in the back door before Demko could reach across.
BC got on the board 4:34 into the second period when Zach Sanford swung the puck across the back of the boards to Casey Fitzgerald, who found Alex Tuch for the wrister from the left circle that beat Lowell's Kevin Boyle stick side. The tally was Tuch's 13th of the season.
On the penalty kill, Lowell's Tyler Mueller skated it down the right side of the ice into the Eagles zone, where he slammed on the brakes and launched a rocket that found its way past the near side of Demko.]
At 6:42 of the final frame, John Edwardh extended the Lowell lead by knocking in his own rebound. Demko saved the sophomore's first shot, but the puck bounced back in front and Edwardh was able to swing it in front of the crease past the diving attempt by Demko to put the Riverhawks up 3-1.
