Trivigno, Keller Pick Up Hockey East Weekly Honors

Duo helped pace the Eagles to 7-1 and 9-1 wins over Providence and an unblemished league record
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – After helping the No. 1 ranked Boston College women's hockey team finish the regular season with an unblemished 34-0-0 mark overall and a perfect 24-0-0 Hockey East record, two Eagles were recognized with the league's weekly honors.
Senior Dana Trivigno earned her first career Warrior Hockey East Player of the Week award, while sophomore defenseman Megan Keller was tabbed the conference's defensive player of the week for the third time this season.
Trivigno claimed the player of the week award after registering six points in two games against Providence last week. On Friday in the team's 7-1 win, she had a team-best four-point effort with a two goals and two assists. Saturday, she collected a pair of helpers in BC's 9-1 road win against the Friars. Her six points were tied for second-most nationally last week, and her four assists were also tied for second-most in the country – with Keller.
Trivigno now has a career-best 43 points this season, including matching her previous single-season high of 15 goals and collecting a career-best 28 assists.
Keller anchored the Eagles' defense that allowed just two goals and surrendered 36 shots total in two games. The Friars were held to just 15 shots in the Eagles' 7-1 win on Friday, while Keller collected a career-high three assists. Saturday, Keller added another assist to give her four on the week as BC held PC to 21 shots.
Keller leads the nation in scoring among defenseman, posting 44 points from a career-highs in goals (12) and assists (32). Her 44 points represent the highest-point output by a Boston College defenseman in program history. Her 32 assists are tied for sixth nationally among all players, not just blue liners.
The Eagles will kick off postseason play in the Hockey East Tournament when they host eighth-seeded Maine in a best-of-three game series at Kelley Rink. Game 1 is set for Friday, Feb. 26 at 2 p.m. Game 2 will be Saturday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m. If necessary, Game 3 will be played on Sunday, Feb. 27 at 2 p.m. Boston College is the tournament's No. 1 seed after completing Hockey East's first-ever perfect conference season. No other team - men or women - have ever accomplished that feat in Hockey East.
