CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - There was no question as to who ruled the ice this week, as both the Boston College men's and women's teams took home Beanpot Titles on Monday and Tuesday.

Men's Hockey

The Eagles topped rival Boston University, 1-0, in overtime on Monday, capturing their 20th Beanpot title and adding to the tournament's storied history. Boston College goaltender Thatcher Demko was on his game, stopping all 30 shots he faced in a showdown highlighted by stellar goaltending. Demko was just one of several NHL prospects that led the team to the title.

Women's Hockey

Not to be outdone by their counterparts, the Eagles extended their undefeated run to the season by pounding Northeastern, 7-0, to capture their sixth Beanpot title. It's beginning to seem like this squad can't be contained, as it continues to make wins look easy.

Football

In an offseason full of coaching changes, the addition of Rich Gunnell should be a name that rings bells for Boston College fans.
