2016 John Thomas Terrier Invitational

The Eagles travelled down the B-Line for one of the most anticipated meets of the winter season. Teams from all over the country collide at the BU Terrier each year, and this year was no exception.

BC Highlights

Senior Captain Carly Daniel ran her fastest 400 meters of the year. She was only .04 off her indoor personal record. She finished in 20^th with a time of 56.46, which qualified her for the ECAC Championships.
Sophomore Julia Barron shattered her previous PR in the 400 meters. Having never broken the 59 second mark, Barron sped her way to a time of 57.93.
Junior Christina Kyritsis returned to form in the 500 meter event. She finished 23^rd with a time of 1:16.96, which is her fastest time in the event since the 2014 indoor season.
Freshman Paige Duca came to run in her BU Terrier debut. Duca finished 10^th in the 1000 meters, setting a new personal record as well at 2:51.94, qualifying for the ECAC Championships.
Erica Hefnawy also put together a strong performance in the 1000 meters. The freshman finished in 17^th place, qualifying for the ECAC's at 2:54.48. Senior Vivian Grimes rounded out the top performers in the 1000. She finished 28^th and set a new PR, crossing the line at 2:57.44.
The 4x400 relay team (Julia Barron, Carly Daniel, Molly McCabe, Johanna Celli) continues to impress with another record set. The squad finished tenth in the event, crossing the line at 3:47.60, setting a new season best and landing in the top-5 all-time at BC.
