Bowman Voted ACC Freshman of the Week

Freshman scored 33 points vs. Fairfield
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Freshman guard Ky Bowman has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Rookie of the Week, announced today by the league office.
Bowman averaged 24.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.5 steals in the Eagles' two games last week. He was 20-for-29 (.690) from the floor in the two contests.
Bowman erupted for season highs in points (33), rebounds (8), assists (5) and steals (3) against Fairfield at Mohegan Sun Arena. He was 13-for-21 from the field and 6-for-7 from the foul line. His 33 points are the ninth-most by a freshman in the nation this year and the second-most in the ACC. His 13 field goals are the second-most in the country by a freshman and 22nd overall.
Bowman then scored 16 points – all in the second half – in BC's 79-67 win over Providence. He was a perfect 7-for-7 from the field after halftime. He matched his season high with eight rebounds as well.
Bowman and the Eagles will host Syracuse in their ACC opener on January 1 at Conte Forum.
