- With the game tied, 27-27, Fairfield went on an 18-3 run over 4:27 to build a 45-30 lead with 2:00 left in the first half. The Stags led at the break, 47-37.
- Boston College scored seven-straight points to pull within 53-47, but Fairfield quickly pushed the lead back to 10 points.
- Still down 10, the Eagles went on a 13-5 run over 4:25 to cut their deficit down to 76-74 at the 5:00 mark.
- The Stags responded with seven unanswered to push the lead back to nine, but BC had a 7-0 run of its own to make it 83-81 with 1:56 left.
- An offensive rebound and put back by Bowman cut it to 84-83, but Fairfield scored the next five points to seal the win.
