
Keller Named to U.S. Roster for Two-Game Canada Series

Eagles’ junior joins five former Eagles and one future Eagle on the 24-player roster.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Junior defenseman Megan Keller was named to the U.S. National Team roster that will face Canada in a two-game, home-and-home series this weekend. | WINTER SERIES ROSTER
The U.S. and Canada will meet tomorrow, Saturday, Dec. 17, at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Mich. Puck drop is set for 4:30 p.m. ET and the game will be televised live on NBC Sports Network. The teams will meet again at 7 p.m. ET at Progressive Auto Sales Arena in Sarnia, Ontario, on Monday, Dec. 19. That game will be streamed live on HockeyTV.com.
Keller joins five former Eagles on the 24-player roster: Alex Carpenter '16, Emily Pfalzer '15, Haley Skarupa '16, Kelli Stack '11 and Dana Trivigno '16.
Additionally, Cayla Barnes '21, who will join the Eagles in Fall 2017 as a freshman, was also named to the full national team roster for the Canada series. Barnes is the youngest player selected, almost three years younger than Keller, who is the next youngest player. She was the captain of the U.S. Under-18 Select Team this summer, and has also been named to the U.S. roster for the 2017 IIHF Under-18 World Championships in Czech Republic in January.
Keller has been a full member of the senior national team since 2014. She has helped the team win back-to-back IIHF Women's World Championships (2015, 2016) as well the 2014 and 2016 Four Nations Cups.
Saturday's game is part of the first-ever Team USA Winter Champions Series, a day-long celebration of the Road to Pyeongchang that will feature three Olympic events. In addition to hockey, the series will include luge and big air snowboarding.
