Overseas Update

Boston College has four players competing overseas this winter. Former Eagles guard Nicole Boudreau is playing in the Czech Republic, Kathrin Ress continues to play for Familia Schio in Italy, while Carolyn Swords is in Poland playing for Basket 90 Gdynia. The final player - Lauren Engeln - is in her second season with Halle in Germany. Here is an update on how the formers Eagles are doing before the Christmas break.
Nicole Boudreau – Loko Trutnov – Czech Republic
Loko Trutnov is 7-7 after a 96-64 win over Slovanka MB on Saturday. Boudreau finished with 12 points, three boards and two assists. She hit 2-of-3 from the three-point arc. Boudreau has played in 13 games and averaging 6.3 points and 3.6 rebounds a game. She is shooting 40.7 percent from the floor and has hit 15 three's this season. She is deadly from the foul line – shooting 15-for-19 for 78.9 percent.
Kathrin Ress – Familia Schio – Italy
The team is 9-1 after coming off a 96-51 win over Broni on Dec. 11. Ress started and finished with eight points, five boards and three assists. She was 5j-for-5 from the floor. Ress has played in all 10, averages 7.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and shooting 61.2 percent from the floor.
Carolyn Swords – Basket 90 Gdynia – Poland
Currently Basket 90 is 3-7 on the season. Swords shot 12-for-20 from the floor, 8-for-8 from the foul line, scored 32 points, and grabbed 11 rebounds as Basket 90 lost to Engerga Torun (Poland), 96-86, on Saturday. On Dec. 4, Swords shot 10-for-15 from the floor, 7-for-7 from the foul line, grabbed six boards to go along with 27 points in a 77-74 win over Dynamo Moscow. Swords' is seventh in the league in scoring (15.2) and leads the league in rebounding (11.8).
Lauren Engeln – Halle – Germany
The former Eagles guard is a guard on the 3-7 Halle team. She had eight points and five boards in a loss to Marburg (Germany – DBBL) on Dec. 3. In a 65-59 win over Bad Aibling on Nov. 27, Engeln had 12 points and five rebounds. She is averaging 5.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and shooting 56.8 percent from the floor in 10 games.
