
Burke, Eagles Wrap Up Season at NCAA and IC4A Championships

Boston College sophomore Sean Burke participated at the 2016 NCAA Cross-Country Championships in Terre Haute, Indiana, on Saturday, while other members of the men's cross-country team took to Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, N.Y., for the 2016 IC4A Championships.

- Sophomore Sean Burke capped off a stellar cross-country season at the 2016 NCAA Cross-Country Championships in Terre Haute, Indiana. Burke, the first BC male to run at the NCAA Championships since 2008, crossed the line in 102nd place overall with his time of 30:52.9. Burke topped off a season that featured him as the top BC finisher in every race he participated in.

- Senior Michael Stephens paced the Eagles, taking home 26th place overall with his finish of 26:48.
- Not far behind him was sophomore Benjamin Osipow, who placed 29th overall after crossing the line in 26:52.
- Rounding out the top three finishers for the Eagles was freshman Ryan Scanlon who finished the race in 27:03, good for 36th place overall.
- The Eagles' performance earned them 6th place as a team with a total of 174 points, bettering Iona and St. Francis (N.Y.)
