- No. 3 Clemson moved to 6-0 on the season with a 56-10 victory over Boston College Friday night at Alumni Stadium.
- Boston College and Clemson have met 26 times with the Tigers holding a 15-9-2 series advantage.
- BC is 6-8-1 all-time at home vs. Clemson.
- Alumni Stadium attendance was 44,500 (sellout). The last sellout at Alummi Stadium was on Nov. 10, 2012 against Notre Dame.
Offense
- Redshirt freshman RB Davon Jones tallied a career-high two receptions for 25 yards, he also added 48 yards on a career-high 12 attempts on the ground in tonight's game.
- Sophomore TE Tommy Sweeney led the Eagles with four receptions for 48 yards, both career highs.
- Senior FB Bobby Wolford recorded his first reception and touchdown of the season on a one-yard pass from graduate QB Patrick Towles near the end of the third quarter.
- Towles was 11-for-22 Â for 91 yards and one touchdown. He also tallied his first career reception for five yards on pass from sophomore WR Jeff Smith in second quarter.
Defense
- Junior DE Harold Landry registered his fourth forced fumble of the season and the seventh of his career in the second quarter. His second-quarter sack for a loss of six yards increased his season total to 6.5 sacks for a total loss of 52 yards
- Junior LB Ty Schwab set  a career-high with 10 tackles, leading the Eagles in total and solo stops (nine). His previous career high of nine tackles came vs. Georgia Tech (Sept. 3, 2016). Â
- Sophomore DE Zach Allen recorded a sack in the fourth quarter, bringing his season and career totals to 3.5.
Special Teams
- Senior DB John Johnson's first-quarter  fumble recovery on the fair catch was his first of the season and third of his career. His last fumble recovery came against then fourth-ranked Notre Dame at Fenway Park on Nov. 21,  2015.
- Junior K Mike Knoll opened the scoring of the game, connecting on a 21-yard field goal 3:52 into the game. He punted nine times for 324 total yards and was 1-for-1 on extra-point attempts.
- Senior RB Myles Willis returned four kicks for 69 yards bringing his total to 76 returns for 1,809 yards, fourth in the BC record book.
