Their coach, Hillary Witt, really gets her team motivated to play and they have quite a few younger players from last year who are now sophomores and juniors and have a little experience under their belts. I think they're going to play a little bit harder, they're going to play a little bit more hungry and we're going to have to certainly be ready for them."
TOP-5 STREAK MAINTAINED
- This week Boston College is again ranked No. 5 in both the USCHO and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine polls
- This marks the 54rd straight USCHO poll that the Eagles have been ranked in the Top 5, the longest streak in program history

- The trio of Bridget McCarthy - Caitrin Lonergan - Delaney Belinskas combined for two goals and an assist in the latter part of the third period
- Crowley re-united the trio last weekend in the two-game series against Maine, and the B-C-D line combined for six goals and two assists in the sweep
- In the team's second game, Belinskas and McCarthy combined for all five of the team's goals, while Lonergan had a pair of assists
- CONTEXT: Three of the MBTA's subway/trolly lines - the B, C and D lines - are all routes to or through Boston College from downtown Boston
BELINSKAS PICKS UP WEEKLY NOD
- Delaney Belinskas copped the Eagles' first weekly conference honor of the season this week
- After her four-goal outing against Maine on Sunday, she drew Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week honors
- It was the first conference honor of her career
DELANEY DOES THE RARE FEAT
- Delaney Belinskas' four-goal effort against Maine on Sunday was a rarity for the Eagles
- It was just the eighth time in program history that a player score four or more goals
- It also marked the first time a BC freshman scored four goals in 21 years, since Erin Magee '99 did so on Jan. 7, 1996
- Belinskas' four-goal day was the Eagles' third such game in the last 10 months after the team had gone 17 years without one
- Alex Carpenter had four goals at Syracuse (12/10/15) and Haley Skarupa potted four at Boston University (1/9/16) last season, the first occasions since Jen Buckley '01 did so on Dec. 29, 1999
ANASTOS MAKING RUN FOR TOP-10
- Andie Anastos comes into the weekend with 104 career points and sits in 12th place on the Eagles' career scoring chart
- On Friday, Sept. 30, in the season opener, she collected two points to move into sole possession of 12th place after entering the season tied with Emily Pfalzer '15 with 102 points
- Anastos is now 11 points back of 10th-place Laura Traynham '97, who finished her career with 125 points
- Anastos was the 13th player in program history to break the 100-point plateau
EAGLES AMONG HOCKEY EAST'S ACTIVE CAREER SCORING LEADERS
- Andie Anastos is Hockey East's active career scoring leader in conference games with 70 points (29g, 41a)
- She sits atop all returning HEA players, ahead of Northeastern's duo of Denisa Krizova and Hayley Scamurra with 60 points each in league action
- Megan Keller is tied for fifth with 50 points, while Kenzie Kent is seventh with 49 career points in HEA play and Kristyn Capizzano tied for 12th with 48
KELLER TO DON THE RED, WHITE AND BLUE
- Megan Keller has been called in to the U.S. National Team for the 2016 Four Nations Cup, which will be played Nov. 1-5 in Finland
- Keller is one of three collegians on the squad and is USA Hockey's youngest player on the tournament roster
- She is one of six BC Eagles on the 23 player roster set to represent the U.S., joining Alex Carpenter '16, Emily Pfalzer '15, Haley Skarupa '16, Kelli Stack '11 and Dana Trivigno '16
- Keller will join the national team on Oct. 28, and is expected to miss four games: Oct. 28 vs. UConn, Oct. 29 at UConn, Nov. 4 vs. BU and Nov. 5 at BU
WHAT'S A GOALIE TO DO TO GET SOME RESPECT?
- Katie Burt is Hockey East's back-to-back Goaltending Champion, but has yet to be voted to the conference's All-Star First Team in either of her collegiate seasons
- Burt has never lost a game in regular-season conference play, but was a second-team honoree as a freshman and honorable mention last year
- She is now 39-0-1 in league play with a career GAA of 0.91 with a .952 save percentage and 16 conference shutouts - second most in league history with almost two full seasons left to play
- Burt's 39 conference wins are just 13 shy of the league's record of 52, held by Melissa Bourdon, UNH '07
- She has backed Hockey East's top defense the last two years and led the conference in GAA, wins, save percentage and shutouts in both of her collegiate seasons
BURT IMPACING NCAA CAREER MARKS ALREADY
- Despite being just a junior, Katie Burt already appears in the NCAA career goaltender records
- She is tied for 17th in career wins (67) – 13 wins back of the top 10 (BC's own Molly Schaus '11 with 80)
- Additionally, she is ranked 12th on the career shutouts list with 23, just two back of the top 10 (25 by two players)
- Three records she is not ranked in – because they are only determined once a player is done playing – are career winning percentage, GAA and save percentage
- Burt's .913 career winning percentage (67-5-3) would be the NCAA record if her career ended today (current record: .897 by Minnesota's Amanda Leveille '16)
- Also, her career 1.25 GAA would rank third in NCAA history, while her .939 career save percentage would rank ninth in NCAA history.
NATIONAL LEADERS JUST A WEEK IN
- Several Eagles are among the national leaders just two weeks into the season
- Delaney Belinskas is tied for third nationally in goals (5), a total that also leads all freshmen in the country ... Belinskas' three power-play goals are tops in the nation overall

- Megan Keller is tied for fourth nationally in defenseman points (4) and defenseman points per game (1.00), while Kali Flanagan is tied for 12th (0.75)
