
Eagles Fall to Georgia Tech and Pittsburgh

The Boston College men's and women's wwim and dive teams kicked off the 2016-2017 season with a home opener against ACC opponents Georgia Tech and Pittsburgh. With a promising new crop of freshman on the team, the Eagles were competitive throughout the meet.

HIGHLIGHTS
•   Ina Elcott '20, Taylor Covington '20, Grace Kunkel '17, Victoria Lin '20 and Grace Kunkel '17 kicked things off in the women's 200 yd. medley relay and took sixth with an overall time of 1:49.61.
•   Josh Williams '17, McKenzie Cole '18, David Howard '17, and Colin Derdeyn '19 took third place in the men's 200 yd. medley relay with an overall time of 1:33.92.
•   Erika Freeman '19 took fourth in the 200 yd. freestyle with a time of 1:56.51, beating the fifth place finisher by almost 2 seconds.
•   Freshman Michael Hinton was the first Eagle to finish and took sixth place overall in the 200 yd. freestyle with a time of 1:44.43.
•   Cole Malatesta took third in the 3 m. diving with a final score of 288.80, only 5 points off of second place.
