WEEKEND HEADLINES
- BC enters the game with a 24-game winning streak, currently the third-longest in NCAA history ... a win Friday would match the Eagles' program-record 25-game winning streak (set in 2014-15) and equal the NCAA's second-longest streak
- With her win on Tuesday at Harvard, Katie Burt became the fastest (55 appearances) and youngest (18 years, 358 days) goaltender to reach 50 wins in NCAA history
- Alex Carpenter (28-27-55) is second in the nation in points and points per game (2.29), while Haley Skarupa is third in points (20-27-47) and fourth in points per game (1.96)
- Megan Keller is the nation's leading scorer among defenseman with 26 points (8-18-26) ... her nine power-play assists are tied for second among all players nationally while her 13 PP points (4-9-13) are tied for third nationally

BC AGAINST VERMONT
- This weekend's two-game series mark the first two games in the teams' three-game regular-season series this year ... the programs will meet for the final scheduled time on Sunday, Feb. 14, in Burlington
- The programs have met 38 times since both teams have played as varsity squads, and once before UVM ascended to varsity status
- The Eagles are 32-3-3 in the series since 1999-2000 when both teams were Division 1 varsity squads (UVM's second year of varsity status)
- At home, BC is 17-2-1 against UVM ... in Burlington, the Eagles are 14-0-2 against the Catamounts ... the teams have met once on neutral ice, with BC winning the lone match
- BC has won the eight meetings between the teams, and is 14-0-3 in the last 17 contests dating back to Nov. 2009

BURT IS YOUNGEST & FASTEST TO 50 WINS
With her 29-save effort on Tuesday at Harvard, Katie Burt earned her 50th career win ... Burt, now 50-3-2 in 55 career appearances, became the fastest goaltender in NCAA history to reach 50 wins ... additionally, Burt became the youngest to reach 50 wins, doing so at 18 years, 358 days old ... former Wisconsin goaltender Alex Rigsby '14 held the prior mark at 50 wins in 58 appearances and doing so in 20 years, 24 days old.
BURT ALSO CATCHES 1,000TH SAVE
In addition to earning her 50th career win on Tuesday, Katie Burt also recorded her 1,000th career save ... she entered the game with 989 saves and finished with 1,018 after a 29-save effort in the shutout ... Burt is currently eighth in career saves at BC, behind Sharon VanTuyl '02 (1,198) in seventh place ... Burt is the Eagles' career leader in save percentage (.946), a mark that would tie for the NCAA career lead (Noora Raty, Minnesota '13 - .946).
STOPPERS & SHUTOUTS
This season, Boston College has recorded 10 shutouts ... Katie Burt has nine in 20 starts, while Gabri Switaj has one in four starts ... BC's program record is 12 shutouts in 2014-15, while the team posted 11 in 2008-09 ... Burt's nine shutouts are already the second-highest total in a season in program history, behind the 10 recorded by Burt last season and Molly Schaus '11 in 2008-09.
NCAA-RECORD HOME STREAKS STRETCH ON
When Boston College returns home Friday it will do so riding an NCAA-record 45-game home unbeaten run that dates back to Oct. 20, 2013 ... in this current stretch, BC has gone 44-0-1 and won the last 39 games played at Kelley Rink - also an NCAA record ... BC's 45-game unbeaten streak and its 39-game home winning streak passed Minnesota's 31-game streaks (undefeated and winning) earlier this season ... the Eagles have out-scored their opponents 241-57 during the current unbeaten run, averaging 5.35 goals per game while allowing just 1.27 ... the last time BC lost at Kelley Rink was Oct. 16, 2013, a 3-1 defeat by New Hampshire.
STREAK'S STILL STRONG IN HOCKEY EAST
BC enters the weekend riding a 41-game undefeated streak in regular-season conference play that dates back to the 2013-14 season ... the Eagles' last loss in league play was Feb. 8, 2014, a 2-0 setback at Connecticut ... since that loss, BC is 40-0-1 in regular-season action, including last year's 20-0-1 season ... since the start of the 2012-13 season (the majority of the senior class' freshman year), BC is 71-4-4 in regular-season conference games.

Boston College players are prominent on the national scoring and goaltending charts so far this season:
- 10 players are ranked in the top 65 in points per game, the most of any school in the country
- Three (3) players are ranked in the top 20 in goals per game: Alex Carpenter (1.17), Haley Skarupa (0.83) and Makenna Newkirk (0.54), tied for most in the country with Minnesota and Wisconsin
- Nine (9) players are ranked in the top 45 in assists per game - most of any school in the country
- Three (3) defensemen are ranked in the top 8 in DMan scoring (most of any school in the country): Megan Keller is first, and Lexi Bender and Kali Flanagan are tied for eighth
- Alex Carpenter leads the nation in game-winning goals (7), tied for first in shorthanded goals (3) and is second in power-play goals (7), while Haley Skarupa (5) is tied for fourth in power-play goals, and Megan Keller and Makenna Newkirk (4 each) are tied for 12th.
- Makenna Newkirk is fourth nationally among freshman in scoring (1.00 ppg), and is the top freshman goal scorer (13).
- Katie Burt is second nationally in save percentage (.953), third nationally in goals against average (1.04) and shutouts (9), and holds the national lead in winning percentage (1.000).
