BC vs. DUKE
- This will be the 16th meeting between BC and Duke. The Blue Devils have a, 12-3, edge in the overall series.
- BC stunned Duke last year, 60-56, at home. It was the first time BC defeated the Blue Devils since the 2010 season. Prior to that win, BC had lost five consecutive games to Duke.
- In seven games on the road, BC has only one win vs. Duke. It took place on Nov. 17, 1999, as BC earned a 77-70 victory over then No. 22 ranked Duke at Cameron Indoor Stadium. BC led 48-39 at the half. Cal Bouchard had 20 points and hit 4-of-5 from the three-point arc while Jamie Cournoyer pitched in with 21 points.

- Freshman Mariella Fasoula had 20 points but it was not enough as the Eagles lost to No. 3/3 Notre Dame, 63-50, on Thursday night. Fasoula shot 9-for-17 from the floor grabbed four boards to go along with her 20 points. Sophomore center Katie Quandt pitched in with four points and three boards backing up the rookie.
- Senior Alexa Coulombe earned her third start and had five points and five rebounds while Kelly Hughes added eight points and five boards.
- The Eagles lost the battle in the paint, 36-34 and on the boards, 34-29. Both teams had 16 turnovers.
- BC was down 13-12 after one quarter behind eight points from Fasoula. The Eagles cut the Notre Dame lead to two points with 3:49 to play in the 2nd quarter. Notre Dame pulled away at the half ending with a 10-0 run - BC 20, ND 32.
- The third quarter the closest BC got was 12 points on a three-point play by Coulombe. BC was down, 51-37 after three.
- The Eagles cut the lead to nine points on a steal and lay-up by Fasoula with 7:26 to play. It forced ND into a time out but the Irish pushed forward after a three by Madison Cable, 61-45. BC didn't quit as a Hughes three followed up by a Fasoula half-hook cut the lead to 11 but the Eagles ran out of time.
- Notre Dame has a 17-5 overall edge in the series vs. Boston College.
FREE THROWS
- In the first four games of the 2016, BC has played three ranked team - RV/RV Virginia Tech, No. 15/19 FSU and No. 3/3 Notre Dame.
- Emilee Daley, Nicole Boudreau and Kelly Hughes have made 85 of the Eagles 99 three-pointers this season.
- Mariella Fasoula earned her second ACC Rookie of the Week honor on Jan. 11. The rookie center is averaging 13 points and five boards a game in her 12 starts for the Eagles.
- Junior Kelly Hughes needs just 15 points to join the 1,000 point club. She will be the 26th player in program history to reach the plateau. She made two three-pointers against Notre Dame to become the fifth player in program history to make over 200 three-pointers (Cal Bouchard '00, Kerri Shields '13, Mickel Picco '10, Nicole Boudreau '16).
- Senior Nicole Boudreau is just three assists from 300 assists. She will be the eighth player in program history to have over 1,000 points and 300 assists.
- BC scored a season-low 33 points in the loss to Virginia Tech. The last time a BC team scored less than 40 points was in 2011-12.
- The Eagles also posted an undefeated slate in the month of December (6-0). It is the first time since the 04-05 season in which BC went undefeated in the month. They are only the third BC team in program history to go undefeated in December. In 1999-00, that team went 7-0 with win over Florida to end the month.
- Cal Bouchard hit a driving layup with five seconds to play to lift Boston College past Notre Dame, 78-76, at Conte Forum. The win snapped an eight-game win streak by the Irish. Bouchard finished with 19 points and six assists, while Alison Booth had 14 points and Paula Basco added 12 points and six boards. Aimee McQuire finished with 11 points, including 3-for-5 from the three-point arc.
- Boston College will host Pittsburgh on Thursday night at 7 p.m. Fans can purchase tickets at the gate. The following Sunday, the Eagles will host Wake Forest at 1 p.m. At the half, the women's basketball program will celebrate Alumnae Weekend. The program alums will be honored at halftime.
