Eagles to play at UNC on Friday at 7
The Boston College women's soccer team is in the midst of a four-game road swing. The Eagles head back to North Carolina to play the No. 1 Tar Heels on Friday, October 2 at 7 p.m. Fans can view the game live on the UNC website.
Boston College is one of just four teams in the ACC that remain unbeaten. The Eagles are fourth in the conference with a 2-0-1 record. BC earned the second conference win on Sunday in a 1-0 battle at NC State. Freshman Gaby Carreiro scored the game-winning goal with five minutes to play. R-freshman Alexis Bryant had five saves in her fourth career victory.
North Carolina defeated Wake Forest on Sunday, 1-0, to improve to 3-0-0 in the ACC and 10-0-1 overall. Summer Green scored the lone goal, while UNC held a, 20-4, edge in shots. The only blemish on the Tar Heels results was a 1-1 tie at California on Sept. 4.
BC vs. UNC
This will be the 17th meeting between BC and UNC. The Tar Heels lead the overall series, 15-1. The two teams first met in 1981. The two teams did not play in 2014 but in the last four meetings, the Eagles have lost to the Tar Heels by a one goal margin in each match.
