Eagles Host #23 SMU Friday Evening

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College men’s soccer team will host #23 SMU on Friday evening at 5 p.m. at the Newton Campus Field.
This will be the third meeting all-time between the two programs. The last time they met was in the third round of the 2002 NCAA Tournament at Northeastern’s Parsons Field. The match ended in a 4-4 draw and the Eagles advanced to the Elite Eight on penalty kicks, 2-1.
BC has opened the season with a pair of wins against Quinnipiac and Boston University. Against the Terriers on Monday night, freshman Simon Enstrom scored a pair of goals, including the game-winner in the 80th minute.
SMU entered the top-25 this week after opening up the season with a pair of home wins against Sacramento State and UIC.
The Eagles will also host Loyola Marymount on Sunday at noon in Newton.
