Chesnut Hill, Mass. - The Boston College football team is looking forward to a big week with No. 9 Florida State coming into town on Friday night.
The Eagles will be full of cofidence on the heels of a 76-0 rout of Howard on Saturday. Although it isn't the kind of game you want before you take on a Top 10 opponent, it's a start. It was a game head coach Steve Addazio "just wanted to end" by the second half.
The Boston College defense was dominant, conceding just 11 total yards against the Bison--the fewest given up by an FBS school since 2000. Once again, junior running back Tyler Rouse put in a stellar performance, shifting into another gear with a career-high three touchdowns on the afternoon.
During halftime, senior defensive back Justin Simmons received "such a huge honor" when he was presented with the Jay McGillis Scholarship Award
In former Eagles news, current Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Tyler Murphy returned to Gillette Stadium last Thursday for the first time since last season when he donned the Maroon and Gold.
