CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College men’s soccer team will open the 2015 season on Friday afternoon when it hosts Quinnipiac at 4 p.m. at the Newton Campus Field.
The Eagles return their top two scorers from last year in juniors Isaac Normesinu and Zeiko Lewis. Normesinu led the team with five goals and 11 points. Lewis led BC with three assists and was second with three goals and nine points. Lewis was named to the All-ACC Second Team in 2014 after being tabbed the ACC Freshman of the Year in 2013.
Head Coach Ed Kelly added 12 freshmen to the 2015 squad which College Soccer News ranked as the 46th-best class in the country.
Quinnipiac went 10-4-5 last season and was picked second in the MAAC preseason poll. Boston College is 5-0-1 in its last six meetings against the Bobcats.
