Westphal Wins 5000 M at U-23 Championships

Chestnut Hill, MA-- Senior Liv Westphal has continued her unstoppable season. Following her All-American performance at the NCAA Championships last month, Liv travelled to Estonia, the site of the 2015 European U-23 Championships. She entered the race as the top qualifier, the first time in her career at a major championship.
Westphal certainly did not disappoint, putting together her fastest 5000 meter time this year, 15:30.61. Westphal took first prize by nearly two seconds, defeating Louise Carton of Belarus and Viktoriya Kalyuzhna of Ukraine.
