Capizzano Called in to Canada National Team Camp

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College junior forward Kristyn Capizzano has been called in for Hockey Canada’s National Women’s Developmental Team Summer Showcase, which will be held August 6-16, in Calgary, Alberta.
Capizzano is one of 43 players called in to the camp, which includes 27 players who play collegiately in the U.S.
Camp participants will be vying for a place on the 23-player roster that will face the U.S. Under-22 Select Team in a three-game series, August 19-22, in Lake Placid, N.Y.
Capizzano attended Canada's 2014 camp and was a member of the Canadian team that faced the U.S. U22s in three games last August.
Most recently, Capizzano was a member of the gold-medal winning Canada squad at the 2015 Nations Cup, which was played Jan. 3-6 in Fussen, Germany. Capizzano scored one goal, coming against Sweden in the gold medal game on Jan. 6.
Capizzano is also a two-gold medalist at the IIHF U18 World Championships (2012, 2013).
Entering her junior year at BC in 2015-16, Capizzano has made 75 career appearances for the Eagles, scoring 48 points (22 goals, 26 assists).
